Picture the 1965 Newport Folk Festival in Rhode Island, where Bob Dylan performed in public with an electric guitar for the first time, filmed at the seaside resort of Cape May, New Jersey. The concentration of Victorian architecture as well as other architectural forms from the 19th and 20th centuries required minimal relief given the resort’s commitment to designation as a National Historic Landmark.
